Organise your learning projects so they can be found, opened and edited. Allow about 30–40 minutes and have AI-practice ready. Start with one finished piece; add the others when they are ready.
In class
Show your teacher one project and explain your contribution. Turn feedback into a clear AI request. After editing and preparing the instructions, check restoration from the backup together.
Keep what you have made
Create a text file called my-results.txt in Documents\AI-practice.
For each project, record its name, file path or link, and the date you checked it. For a video, record the finished MP4 filename and the folder containing your recorded clips.
| Project | It is ready when… | Revisit |
|---|---|---|
| About-me site | The address opens; contact details are correct | 11–14 |
| My Day | Ticks persist; offline use has been checked | 15–18 |
| YouTube | The video plays; audio is clear; visibility is intentional | 19–22 |
| Instagram | Slides and the Reel are readable on a phone | 23–25 |
| TikTok | The opening is clear; controls do not cover captions | 26–28 |
Turn feedback into one change
This example uses a finished website. Olena receives this comment: “I cannot easily find how to contact you on my phone.” Copy personal-site to personal-site-review; add -2 if that name is taken. Open the copy in Codex using Lesson 30. In ordinary chat, paste its index.html contents and save the edit using Lesson 13. For another project, choose one change, such as correcting a caption using Lesson 25.
> [PROMPT] A reader cannot find the contact information on my about-me site on a phone. Add a visible “Contact me” link after the short introduction. Use the existing address from the contact section. Keep the other text unchanged. Afterwards, tell me which file changed and what I should check.
Expected result: a link appears near the introduction and points to the same address as the contact link at the bottom. Open index.html from the edited copy and test both links. To update the public version, repeat the publication steps in Lesson 14 and check its address separately. If the assistant used another address, ask it to restore yours.
[[VIS:one_change_loop]]
After checking the edit in any project, update its finished file path in my-results.txt.
Leave enough information for someone to continue
A public link shows the result but does not explain how to change it. Include the chosen project’s source files and a short handoff.txt note in its folder. For the app, keep the README.md instructions from Lesson 18 too. Record:
the version you are handing over and when you checked it;
which file to open and where to edit the text;
where the work is stored or published and who manages the required accounts;
what you tested and any remaining limitation;
where to find the previous working copy.
For example: “Version checked on 30 October 2026. Open index.html. Edit the about-me text in that file and the styling in styles.css. Checked a narrow browser window and the contact link. There is no submission form: the contact link opens an email app.” For video, name the playback MP4, Clipchamp project and source-footage folder. If the recipient does not have that project, include the rebuilding steps from Lesson 21 or 27. Keep passwords and recovery codes out of this note.
After checking the edit and completing handoff.txt, copy AI-practice to another drive or your cloud storage. Add the date and time to the backup folder name to preserve the earlier version. Now test restoration. Create a new empty restore-test folder in Documents\AI-practice; use restore-test-2 if that name is taken. Copy the contents of your chosen project’s backup into it and open the main file. For a website, open index.html: text, colours and links should remain intact. If styling is missing, check for styles.css. For a video, open the MP4 and check its sound and ending. For the app, restoring the files alone does not restore task ticks: those live in the browser, as Lesson 16 explains.
> [TIP] A portfolio is a selection of work that shows your skills. Label learning projects as learning projects. Say what you did: prepared the text, checked links or corrected the phone layout. You can also state that AI helped produce the code. Do not invent a client or sales results for the project.
Keep the next project small
Choose a small project, such as a page about three books, a shopping list or a short demonstration video. Describe it in four lines:
SHIONIKA PROMPT / CODE
Audience: friends looking for a weekend read.
Result: one page with three recommendations.
Materials: my descriptions and my photos of the covers.
Check: every title is readable on a phone.
Include this description in your request to AI.
> [TIP] Save successful prompts with their results. The prompt alone may mean little a month later; a file or screenshot shows what it helped you achieve.
Home practice
Allow about 20 minutes and choose one finished project.
Use your prepared handoff.txt and ask someone you know to open the work without spoken hints. If working alone, return the next day and follow the steps without looking back at the chat.
Record any point of confusion in my-results.txt. Clarify that step in the instructions.
Repeat the check. Record the date, the file you opened and the action you completed.
You are finished when the instructions let someone open the project and find where to make one change. No publication is required.

Which request is more useful: “Make it beautiful” or “Add the contact link after the introduction and keep the address”?
A restored site has no styling. You copied only index.html. What should you check?
Terms
Source files — materials you can use to rebuild and edit your work.
Backup — a separate saved copy of files.
Completion criterion — a specific check of a finished result.

Self-Check Quiz for Module L33
1. Does a public website link give another person everything needed to edit its text?
Reveal Reference Answer
No. Include source files and instructions explaining which file to open, where to edit and how to check the change.
2. Which request is more useful: “Make it beautiful” or “Add the contact link after the introduction and keep the address”?
Reveal Reference Answer
The second request describes a visible change and what must stay intact.
3. A restored site has no styling. You copied only `index.html`. What should you check?
Reveal Reference Answer
Check that `styles.css` is present and that the HTML points to it correctly. Restore the complete project folder, including any required images.
